Empowering Communities Through Culturally-Connected Childcare
Brilliant Honeycomb Inc. is a Connecticut nonstock corporation founded in 2024 to empower members of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community to open and sustain licensed family child care homes and centers in overlooked and underserved neighborhoods across the United States and the Caribbean. We provide training, startup financing, and ongoing coaching to help talented individuals convert their natural caretaking abilities into economic opportunities.

Our mission is to empower overlooked BIPOC communities to access the skills, resources, and advocacy tools needed to provide inclusive, culturally-connected childcare and support for differently-abled children. We envision a world where childcare providers are transformed into hubs of joyful play and early childhood education tailored to children's unique needs and vibrant cultures.
Our Impact So Far
23 Licensed Daycares Opened:
We have helped BIPOC women open and coached 23 licensed home daycares in Connecticut and other states since 2017.
A Growing Pipeline:
We are actively building an ecosystem to support at least five more centers currently underway and have a pipeline of new applicants.
Community-Led:
Our model is woman-centered and has worked collaboratively with aspiring women entrepreneurs to navigate regulatory complexities and secure essential approvals, resources, and knowledge.
